Among the most used, the cylindrical nutrients are appreciated for their ability to feed the nest without necessarily having to open it.
Swarms of abundant bees and in strength are necessary to lead a good apistic activity. And for this very reason, every good beekeeper knows the importance of using a stimulating nutrition in the right moments.
But why "stimulating"? The nutritors are called stimulants for their function to urge (stimulate precisely) the swarm of the bees to prepare for a harvest phase abundant and to facilitate the Queen bee to lay the eggs.

These two phenomena (spawning and crop preparation) are generally influenced by different elements:
- Presence of food. Obviously the presence of pollen or nectar is perceived by the Queen bee as a positive factor. The bees have the perception that there are sufficient ' stocks ' to breed and spawn additional eggs.
- Presence of bees. As in the case of food, the Queen bee is more tempted to depose if it perceives the presence of a substantial group of bees able to breed many eggs.
- Environmental Noise factors, such as harsh temperatures or specific smells.
The Sugar syrups in the cylindrical nutrients, again available From Lt. 1, favour the first factor: reproducing an early influx of nectar facilitates the increase of spawning and allows bees not to be found unprepared for the great harvest phase during Flowering of nectariferous plants.
