The nutrients are indispensable for the administration of sugar syrups and there are various types and sizes according to the needs of the beekeeper. Among all, the most widely used nutrients are the Baravalle nutritors or more commonly called bowl nutritors. These nutrients are made of plastic or aluminum, their capacity varies from one to three liters and usually have a circular shape. Beekeepers prefer the food to the bowl because with the latter there is no need to open the hive and therefore there is no risk of bites, as the bees access the nutrients from a hole through a cone and reach a small portion of syrup.
