Our company, Apicolutura Laterza, produces 8 different types of honey, made with attention to quality and genuineness: each type of honey offers a very precise characteristic.
Within our company we are keen to fully respect the natural cycle of bees and their production process, in order to produce a healthy honey with excellent organoleptic properties: we do not use external substances such as sugars or sweeteners, as these irreversibly worsen the quality of the product, altering its original condition.

Our company aims to produce a honey that is natural, enhancing its characteristics and properties.
In particular, we produce eight different types of honey:

• Thyme honey: it has a liquid consistency but crystallizes quickly. Perfect for antiseptic, calming and tonic use, it is also indicated to fight fever. In the kitchen, thanks to its aroma of aromatic herbs, it is ideal when combined with cheese.

• Coriander honey: it's a "gem" that we have recently included in our production process. Made from the coriander plant that blooms in summer, it is ideal to be used with meat, especially beef or chicken, but it is also perfect with mature cheeses. Coriander honey is also often used to sweeten infusions and for the production of nougat.

• Citrus honey: deriving from the nectar of the flowers of plants such as orange, bergamot, citron, lemon and mandarin, this honey is among the most appreciated, both for its flavour and intense aroma and for its properties. Its scent and texture make it one of the most appreciated products on the Italian table.

• Cherry Honey: with a rather liquid consistency and a straw-yellow colour, cherry honey is rich in vitamins and minerals and is an excellent restorative. Although it is not easy to produce, since cherry trees bloom early compared to other plants and bees use it to feed themselves, fortunately we at Apicoltura Laterza, operating in Puglia and Emilia Romagna, have large cherry tree cultivations available.

• Eucalyptus honey: with its amber colour and compact consistency, this honey is exceptional once crystallized, presenting a strong and intense but not excessively sweet taste. It is used extensively to counteract seasonal influences.

• Clover honey: it is not always easy to find on the market, but we at Apicoltura Laterza are keen to produce clover honey, to offer our consumers a high quality product, able to guarantee a delicate smell and aroma reminiscent of white flowers. Ideal for those who need energy and want to recover from intense fatigue or for those who want to overcome a period of convalescence after colds and flu.

• Spring and Summer Millefiori Honey: Apicolura Laterza's Millefiori honey is a product of high quality and benefits. The spring one, clearer and more transparent, is more suitable for children and athletes, both for the taste and for the nectar content, particularly energetic and rich in minerals and vitamins. The summer one, darker and amber-coloured, has a caramel flavour, ideal as a sweetener in the kitchen or as a remedy for coughs and flu symptoms.

We at Apicoltura Laterza also provide our own Bee cores on 5 frames, ideal for creating a new base for bee colonies. The cores we create are ready for production, and are made without the use of antibiotics and with anti-varroa treatment already performed.
Among our products you can also find the Bee Parcels, or "naked" swarms without frames, ideal if you want to repopulate a hive. A Bee Pack contains about 15,000 young worker bees and a Buckfast or Ligustica queen: in particular we also provide the possibility to buy individually certified specimens of fertile queen bees or virgins.
